Micro-Sphere SA is a company dedicated to the contract development of liquid and dry microencapsulated formulations of active pharmaceutical ingredients. The most important know-how of the company relies on lipid-based formulations (nano-emulsions and liposomes). These formulations are not only aimed at pharmaceutical sector but also at cosmetic field. Micro-Sphere SA offers the technology of high-pressure homogenisation of liquid formulations based on two different types of principles: mechanical compression through a high-pressure chambers; mechanical compression through membrane filters with calibrated cylindrical pores. For general use Micro-Sphere SA is equipped with high-speed homogenisers. These technologies may be applied for the development and production of nano-emulsions and liposomes (monolamellar and multilamellar) as well as micro and macro-suspensions. Their preparation can be adapted to the oral, topic, nasal, pulmonary or parenteral way of application.
